Coaches
Manitou Mountain Monsters provides a professional coaching staff that brings a high level of training and experience to the program. Our coaches include top-level racers, professionals, and veterans of the sport. All of them have a passion for cycling that fuels our success. All coaches are required to take Manitou Mountain Monsters training, pass background checks, certifications in First Aid, Concussions, field work, MTB Skills 101, Risk Management 1, and Student-Athlete Coaching Philosophy.

Coronado Head Coach: Samantha Griffin
Samantha is a mom to an athlete on the team. When she started coaching, there were few women coaches on the team. She wanted to be a good role model for young women who like to ride bikes! Manitou Head Coaches: Jeremy Senn and John Harris
Manitou High School Head Coach and board member Jeremy Senn is a Senior Test Engineer and SRAM/RockShox. He is an expert at XC suspension and a top-10 National finisher in the Single-Speed Category. John is a native and resident of Manitou Springs. He began coaching with the Manitou Monsters upon its founding in 2016. John works as a Team Leader for mountain bike suspension New Product Development at RockShox/SRAM. He coached this past year, supporting his son’s season of training and racing. John is grateful for the opportunity to continue encouraging young people to learn cycling as he believes it can be a valuable, lifelong, outdoor activity to support one’s physical and mental health.
