Coaches

Manitou Mountain Monsters provides a professional coaching staff that brings a high level of training and experience to the program. Our coaches include top-level racers, professionals, and veterans of the sport. All of them have a passion for cycling that fuels our success. All coaches are required to take Manitou Mountain Monsters training, pass background checks, certifications in First Aid, Concussions, field work, MTB Skills 101, Risk Management 1, and Student-Athlete Coaching Philosophy.

 Coach, Team Manager, and founding member Joe McNerney, has raced at the pro level in XC and DH mountain biking.  He has worked in the bike industry for 27 years, as well as a been a pro mechanic for a women’s pro XC MTB team. Joe oversees our ride locations, routes and training

Kervin

 Manitou High School Head Coach  and board member Kervin Quinones has raced most disciplines in cycling, worked in the bike industry for over 20 years, and is a pro level mechanic. Kervin oversees our race team ride locations, routes and training.
